Yoga With Me

When embarking on a journey towards wellness through yoga therapy, it’s important to understand what to expect from your sessions.

Get individualized attention with our One-on-One Yoga Therapy. We tailor each session to your specific goals and circumstances, drawing from a variety of yoga therapy practices like breathwork, yoga postures, meditation, and relaxation to help you achieve your objectives.

These sessions are perfect if you’re looking to manage pain, recover from an injury, or need personal support as you develop greater awareness, strength, and mobility. We offer physical analysis sessions, strength and mobility analysis, and biweekly follow-up sessions. You can join us in person (in Delhi) or online via Zoom from anywhere in the world.

What To Know About Your Therapy Session

Your first introductory session with me, Bhawna Saini, will typically last between 15 to 20 minutes. During this time, we’ll have a discussion to understand your objectives and goals for our work together and an assessment of your current physical and mental condition. You’ll be asked to fill out an intake assessment form that would help me to identify your goals and understand your health history.
Based on our discussion and assessment, I’ll prepare a customized yogic schedule for you called ‘Dincharya’ consisting of yoga practices, mobility and strength exercises, and other targeted training curriculum tailored specifically to your needs. It will also introduce you to a yogic way of living which enhances the body’s strength and resilience.

The YogTherapy session is typically for 60 minutes, during which I will guide you through the tailored yogic curriculum, assisting you to achieve your goals, assessing your progress, further refining or deepening the practices and exercises, and revisiting your objectives as necessary.

Benefits Of Online Sessions

Our Yoga Therapy online sessions offer several benefits that include:

  • Enhancing strength and mobility: Our classes prioritize muscle strengthening and stretching exercises to improve joint, ligament, and tendon capacity. We take into account your current mobility level to provide tailored support.
  • Accessible Yoga: Our approach involves adapting yoga poses to fit your body’s unique needs rather than expecting you to fit into them. Our traditional yoga and therapy guidance will help you find poses that work for you, promoting personal expression of movement.
  • Body Optimism: We use a combination of anatomical and biomechanical principles, Hatha yoga, and pain care yoga to enhance your inner strength and increase your movement capacity.
  • Yogic lifestyle and diet: Bhawna creates practices that help you discover your “movement blind spots” and support your overall well-being through a holistic yogic dinacharya with lifestyle and dietary changes.
  • Rest & Relaxation: Our calming practices and Restorative yoga guide can help soothe your nervous system and promote relaxation.

Your Role In The Process

Your role in the process is crucial as well. When we start working together, we’ll review your goals and your commitment to practice in between sessions. If you’re seeking one-on-one sessions as dedicated time for self-care and relaxation, or as a regular private yoga class instead of a group class, it may not be necessary for you to practice at home in between.
sessions unless you would like to incorporate that into your plan.

However, if you’re booking yoga therapy sessions to address a specific concern such as sciatica, pelvic pain, incontinence, disturbed sleep, managing anxiety, strength goals, or a step-by-step approach to learning how to do certain movements or yoga postures, your commitment to practice in between sessions will be key in helping you progress towards your goals.

As you participate in yoga therapy, you’ll become an active participant in your own wellness journey. You’ll develop a deeper sense of self-awareness, a greater understanding of practices that work for your recovery or progress, and increased confidence and self-efficacy. You will observe the subtle positive changes in your body as you move towards your goals, you have to just remain committed and motivated in your journey believing in yourself as I guide and take you along.

Timeline

While everyone’s personal path and timeline towards wellness is different, it’s recommended to give this approach at least 4-6 weeks to see significant changes, although it’s not uncommon to experience noticeable changes even after the first session.

Incorporating yoga therapy into your lifestyle is a holistic and effective way to address physical, physiological, and psychological issues.

In my therapy sessions, I utilize balancing kriyas to aid in achieving physical, physiological, and mental balance within your system. As your system adapts holistically to these kriyas, I will gradually incorporate strength and mobility practices based on your current condition and the severity of the issue. The duration of this regime typically ranges from 4-6 weeks.

Let’s work together to create a tailored program that fits your unique needs and helps
you achieve your wellness goals.
